Welcome to Mesa Buckhorn Elks
Mission Statement of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE). To inculcate the principals of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care, Elks Share
The BPOE was founded in 1868 by out work entertainers. Since the start of the fraternal order with the first lodge in New York the order has grown to 2,100 lodges all over the USA and it's territories. The BPOE is uniquely American.

Patriotism
We are a very patriotic organization. We have a memorial ceremony, flag day ceremony, recognize and honor our vets, activity duty and our country. "As long as there is a veteran, the Elks will not forget them."
We dedicate the entire month of November to recognizing our vets. through partnerships with half way houses we provide welcome kits to vets when they get a new apartment. The Lodge also works with Jefferson Elementary for an Americanism Essay Contest.
In 2021, through a fundraising tournament we raise $7,000 for the Arizona National Gaurd Air Force Refueling Wing's emergency family relief fund

We Raise Money by Having Fun!
At the lodge we volunteer and have fun doing it. There are several fun activities, dinners, music and dancing. All of the money we raise go to the charity of the month.
